Cooling system in a breeding farm with
a tailor-made misting system.
Thanks to installation of misting and cooling system VentoFresco we have improved the environmental conditions in the state breeding El Sadat City, Egypt. This is a 400-hectare agricultural estate divided into an area dedicated to cultivation and another designed to accommodate up to 15,000 dairy cattle.
Our intervention has helped reduce heat stress, control the spread of dust and bacteria, and create a healthy environment for the animals. This is a concrete example of how our technology can contribute to animal welfare and productivity, even in large and highly specialized facilities.
The criticality of temperature, odours and diseases within breeding farms.
The breeding environment are challenging to cool efficiently: the traditional cooling systems do not guaranteed satisfactory results in large spaces and, in addition to being inefficient, they are very expensive.
On the hottest days, not only the heat, but also the dust and odours caused by the presence of harmful gases, carbon dioxide and odours produced by the metabolism and waste of animals, create unfavourable conditions for the cattle, adversely affecting their welfare and the breeding’s productivity.
Without an appropriate solution, animals can suffer heat stress, a problem that reduces milk and meat production and increases the risk of respiratory diseases.
It is also necessary to keep insects and bacteria away from the surrounding areas and common spaces of the breeding farm to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. For this reason, it is important to act with caution, avoiding direct interventions in spaces frequented by the animals.

The tailor-made cooling system.
To meet this challenge, an advanced misting and ventilation system, VentoFresco has been developed to meet the needs of breeding.
VentoFresco is powered by the FOG 70 Basico, an 70bar pumping module, which generates a ventilated misting flow by means of circulators equipped with an AISI 316 stainless steel crown complete with anti-drip nozzles, capable of:
- cooling the environment, reducing heat and preventing heat stress;
- dust suppression, improving air quality and reducing the risk of respiratory diseases;
- neutralizing odours and harmful gases, thanks to the dispersion of nebulized water, which captures and eliminates unpleasant particles.
